Man! Scary stuff for Florida and Cuba as hurricane Wilma a seemingly unorganised tropical storm only 24hrs ago has turned to the most powerful Catagory 5 this year and possibly ever in the Atlantic basin. Hopefully the sea temps nearer Florida will cool off the storm as currently its in over 30 degree water. Fingers crossed for Florida/Cuba cuase if its stays as it now the damage will be huge!!
If you are a surfer in the UK right now, this weekend will have you salivating and maybe even going weak at the knees, most definatley it will have you frantically cancelling anything that stops you getting down the beach! Just one look at the charts you can see that a massive Autumn Atlantic Storm is aiming its power directly at us. If you combine this with a building high pressure in the UK giving us easterly offshores, conditions couldn’t get any more ideal.
Fingers crossed the offshore doesn’t get too strong and the breaks don’t max out!! But even if you don’t surf the sight will be spectacular so get down to the coast and watch nature unleash its power!
